I'm thinking of making a little fan comic series about lei lei (hsien-ko from Darkstalkers) and uploading it here on Deviant art. It is not a publication, just a fan made comic that should have no bearing on the kannon story already set in motion by Capcom. however it is the same basic plot of two twin sisters trying to find a way to save their mothers soul from the Darkstalkers and go about this task as night warrior hunters, but there are still a lot of unexplored territories that I can cover.
I'm researching the culture around jianshi (stiff corpse) but I'm not finding very many facts that I could make relavent to the story.

I'll be calling her lei lei because tht's what I'm used to calling her. I'm not one of those anime fans that refuse to eknowledge the English name for I'll be using Lord Raptor instead of Zabel. Lei lei is just the name I saw when I first played the character. I didn't hear of Hsien-ko until years later.

anyway I'm open to suggestions for plot developments, or events. I've started writing out an opening scene that involves locals spreading rumors of Bishomon and lei lei and Lin Lin going off to seek him out. perhaps later down the road my own characters will make an appearance.

It was such a blast excuse me if I ramble on but I'll try to be brief. I walked in and I immediately was at the Udon crew's booth. they had a great location this year and I'm sure made out like bandits. I got the Darkstalker tribute book and while I protest the inclusion of a few artists, it's a really fantastic book. I highly recommend it as a source of inspiration. I know when I feel like trying something new. I'll probably randomly open the book and study an artist.
I commissioned , , , , and , but My favorite artist and friend was absent.......that doesn't mean he got away. I commissioned him through paypal to draw Sasquatch from Darkstalkers stuffing his face with grocery store food

I deeply enjoy the con and all it offers, lots of creativity, artists, Upcoming events, and job opportunities. I went and I spoke to Kathleen and I inquired about a possible internship position. turns out there is a project in the works and I may have a job, if everything goes accordingly. I don't think I should speak any more of it publicly cause I don't know if it's allowed, I definitely want to play it safe.
lou ferrigno was a few booths away from Kathleen but she was suprised to find out that he was there. She said she worked with him and wanted to get a picture taken. He seemed to know that she worked with him BUT he wouldn't wave the 30 dollar picture taking fee. .........what a poop!!!
I got to hang out with for a day. that was a lot of fun but we both wound up loosing some valuable property because of bad carrying cases.
She lost her RVB reconstruction DVD and I lost my Joe vriens Galim poster along with Omar's Karin print! [link]

I finally got to meet Burnie at the RVB booth. he loves to mess with people!. I asked for Kathleen and he stepped up and said "yes?"
Yomary was an unexpected surprise as well. I have never met her before either. I'm gonna draw her as a smok'n hot AI

I really can't find anything else to say about it other than It was SOOO MUCH FUN! I'm registered for next year and can't wait to go again!

I've saved up my money cause there is lots to get. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and show you my stuff when I get back!

well it's here again. in a few weeks I, my brother, and 3 of his friends will be driving down to San Diego to attend the annual comic-con. this'll be my 4th year in a row attending and I always come back with a lot of creative energy. It's like I'm magically better, I just wished it would last a whole year. I've been struggling a lot lately.
I try to crank out great works but the literally look like someone who just discovered a sketchpad for the first time got a hold of them.
I had a bit of a reality check from an old friend who told me honestly "you are not good enough to go pro." and I think she is right. I'm gonna give the characters a rest and go back to the fundamentals. in fact that's all I'll be doing for the next two weeks!

when I go to the convention. I'll be going up to artists I admire and requesting if I could draw something in their sketchbooks. by then, I'll be ready

going to yosemite to do a job tomorrow, wish me luck.
