for some reason, Deviantart will not let me change my mood from the previous Journal. so though it says Gloomy, I'm actually very happy!

who knew I had it in me.
I worked at the Awannee Hotel Wednesday up in Yosemite National park. once a month I go up there and change out the locks of a section. within a year, we change out all the hotels and cabins, it's a sweet gig that pays extremely well. There was a new girl working at the hotel front desk and I could see that she was only just being trained. she is not the person who should be approached and told, "I'm hear to change out the locks" but I did anyway, cause at first sight I was immediately taken by her.
her name is sofia, she is an extremely cute blond girl who seems a little shy but she was quite friendly. I read her name tag and went to work. the whole time I was hoping for a do not disturb sign because that would give me reason to stay a little longer, cause I have to change the paperwork to remain on the old room key when I get one of those, and therefore more time to chat with this new girl. in the end i had none but decided to stick around anyway. I told her her name was pretty and a black woman she works with chimed in cause she knew what I was up to. "And doesn't she have a pretty face to go with it!? look at that pretty face!" she was laughing at this point. we chatted a little longer I asked what it was likte living there and I told her I'd be back next month. She caught me giving her a glance as I walked away and she smiled again.

I think she's into me, but I've been wrong before. It might be just good customer service!

I'm gonna give her my number! the first day of July, I'm going back to do my job and I'll give her one of my little sketch-cards with my contact info on it. One with Alexis on it, pretty character for a pretty girl.
